8:00 a.m. -- 1:30 p.m.
This immersive half-day workshop will focus on the key skills PR professionals need to succeed. Whether you’re new to PR or transitioning into leadership roles, this workshop is ideal for PR professionals with (one to four) 1 - 4 years of experience, and professionals looking to add PR value to their companies.
Communications expert, Emily Graham, MWWPR's Group VP of Corporate Communications, will provide the keynote address. In addition to leading a portfolio of professional and financial services clients, Emily is also founder of MWWVerge, a fresh, dynamic and #fearless employee Millennial council centered on driving positive change within MWWPR. Emily’s keynote will focus on how junior PR professionals can elevate their visibility with senior executives.
Seasoned industry experts will lead concurrent sessions focusing on the most relevant PR topics. Attendees will have the chance to work in small groups to learn best practices for writing, research, finding the story, and (sometimes, most importantly!) “PRing” yourself.
Concurrent session topics include:
We'll end the workshop with a live pitching session where attendees can talk to journalists from a variety of sectors to actively practice the skills that were taught during the workshop. Feel free to come with stories from active clients!
