Letter from our President
January 2013
Dear Colleagues,
Let me take a moment to introduce myself. I’m Netta Conyers-Haynes, your 2013 chapter President. I have been a member of the San Francisco chapter since 2004 and first became involved in PRSA as a student member of PRSSA while attending San Jose State University. My experience as a PRSSA member cemented my belief in the association, and today I still believe in and support the mission of PRSA to advance the profession and professionals.
This year, I am focusing on advancing our profession by creating stronger partnerships with educational institutions, corporations, and media partners, and advancing professionals by connecting our members to more employment opportunities. I’m excited about what’s ahead for our chapter and hope you will join us for the journey.
Here are a few things you can do now to get involved:
- Brown Bag Series – On February 6, we are hosting our first lunchtime chat and learn series. It’s free for members and a great way to connect with colleagues to learn and share best practices. Click here to learn more.
- On-demand Webinars – These too are free for members! Choose from more than 50 live and on-demand webinars. Click here to register.
- Chapter Job Board – If you’re seeking employment or looking to advertise an open position, visit the job board today.
And finally, if you’re not a member, join in February and take advantage of a special promotion to receive a free one-year chapter membership when you join PRSA national as a regular member.
Join us for the journey in 2013!
Sincerely,
Netta Conyers- Haynes
