Since our chapter’s New Professionals section was founded in 2003, we’ve come to be the Bay Area’s premiere organization for up-and-coming public relations professionals. The goal was to start a group, under the banner of PRSA-SF, as a place for new professionals -- up to three to five years out of school -- to network, hone our PR skills, and transition into the PRSA-SF chapter, all at an affordable cost. We started with a handful of enthusiastic supporters, and we have grown into a burgeoning group of dedicated and still-enthusiastic members and friends! We’ve had a terrific line-up of networking/informational programs, with speakers from and hosted by some of the Bay Area’s top businesses. Agencies who have supported NP include Fleishman-Hillard, Bite Communications, Allison & Partners, Manning Selvage and Lee, Burson-Marsteller, Access Communications, Connect PR and Applied Communications. Corporate hosts, who have provided speakers, include Union Bank of California, Barclays Global, and Bank of America. We also have had joint networking mixers with our sister PRSA-SF group, Second Thursdays, at various San Francisco hot spots.
