BROWNBAG: How the APR Can Boost Your Career

Do those three little letters after a colleagues’ name really spell success? Is accreditation—and maintenance--worth the time and effort? What’s the ROI on the APR, and does it pencil out? You are invited to join us on Thursday, April 10, 2014 from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at Business Wire (44 Montgomery Street, 32nd Floor in San Francisco) for a FREE brownbag to learn some of the answers to these questions. Bring your lunch and join the PRSA-SF chapter for a lively discussion on how getting your APR can help enhance your career. During the event, the group will also participate in a webinar discussion on APR put on by PRSA National. The webinar will feature successful practitioners who give concrete examples of how the APR took their career to the next level, and how it continues to deliver value. After the webinar, we will continue our discussion and have time for more Q&A. Also everyone will have the opportunity to interact with several SF Chapter members who have their APR, so this is an event you don’t want to miss!! This event is FREE for members and non-members.

After this webinar you’ll be able to:

  • Know specifically how the credential can elevate your career and make you a better practitioner.
  • Understand the cost of accreditation and the implications on your salary.
  • Know whether the APR is right for you at this point in your career.
  • Understand the process and exactly what’s involved in getting and staying accredited.
  • Learn how to garner support from the boss and encourage colleagues to pursue accreditation.
  • Learn how to put the APR to use to boost your career and improve your practice.
