    An experienced senior associate for Sponsorship Engagement is responsible for the delivery innovative sponsorship participation experiences that drive business goals, build brand equity and demonstrate key differentiators for SVB.

    Proven understanding of how to successfully align with the integrated marketing, content strategy and business stakeholders to define the strategic intent of sponsorship participation and build goal driven attendee experiences is required.

     

    Responsibilities

    Support end to end planning and execution of all US lead sponsorships supporting growth and brand objectives

    Review, evaluate, and respond to all inbound sponsorship requests across marketing functions and business partners

    Communicate and provide regular campaign/initiative updates to sponsorship partners

    Lead and manage budget tracking, reporting and reconciliation across sponsorship activities

    Work with cross-functional teams in a Pod to ensure positioning, messaging, goals, deliverables, and tactics are achieved before, during, and after each respective sponsorship event Ensures all deliverables and experiences tell a consistent brand story, representative of the unique SVB offering and our ability to connect and amplify ecosystem relationships

    Utilize agile software planning and development tools to manage and create the annual calendar of sponsorship programs

    Oversee cohesive and robust sponsorship planning and delivery framework deliverables, and tactics are achieved before, during, and after each sponsorship event

     

    Practice Development

    Contribute to the development of sponsorship standards, governance and frameworks

    Contribute to the definition of sponsorship measurement goals in collaboration with other performance marketing teams

    Collaborate w/ performance marketing on identifying process improvements for sponsorship engagement/activation

     

    Sponsorship Development

    In partnership with the Marketing Analytics team - research, create, and present detailed reports documenting the value of sponsorships by geo or business sector/segment, addressing cross-BU opportunities when appropriate.

    Review, evaluate, and respond to all inbound sponsorship requests across marketing functions and business partners and presenting relevant opportunities to the integrated marketing strategist for integration into the segment plans

    Assist with negotiation of sponsorship opportunities to provide comprehensive approach and meaningful analysis of sponsorship proposals to guide business partner

     

    Execution

    Co-lead w/ Integrated Marketing Strategist and oversee activation efforts by providing regular updates to BU sponsorship partners and external sponsorship contact

    Lead budget tracking and reporting across sponsorship activities. Manage dashboard portal – containing info, contracts, meeting notes, ROI, and financials on all sponsorship activities

    Work with cross-functional teams in PODs to drive activation and ensure positioning, messaging, goals, deliverables, and tactics are aligned with overarching BU goals, before, during and after every sponsorship program

    Work closely with BU champions, events, corporate/Internal communications and SVB Financial subsidiaries, to maximize corporate level support across programming areas

    Be a consultative and creative partner with clients and sponsorship organizers to develop meaningful custom solutions by reviewing, evaluating, and responding to all inbound sponsorship requests across marketing functions and business partners

    Work with teams internally including Legal, Business Development, Performance Marketing and the broader sales group to provide regular campaign/initiative updates to sponsorship partners

    Oversee in partnership with the Advertising team the IP rights, hospitality, promotional rights, media and program strategy for clients

    Oversee all activation onsite at sponsorships and act as the key point of contact and company lead for all internal participants.

     

    Measurement/Optimization

    Track and report on KPIs for each sponsorship initiative, including participation, BU goal performance and overall participant satisfaction to the analytics team

    Assess the performance of channel and communications against the KPIs agreed upon w/ sponsorship partners, and identify opportunities for improvement, in collaboration w/ Channel Management and Marketing Analytics

    Collaborate w/ Marketing Analytics team to develop sponsorship scorecard and provide monthly analysis to key business segment leadership

    Routinely makes recommendations that require approval to implement with the occasional decision without approval.
