In these uncertain times, we are excited to continue our awards program this year and provide an opportunity for Bay Area public relations professionals to celebrate their successes over the past year. We could all use something to celebrate, right?

As you know, the PRSA San Francisco Bay Area Chapter Awards Program (The Foggies) recognize the Bay Area’s best public relations programs and the brightest professionals who bring them to life. As you prepare your submissions, we wanted to share some helpful hints and answers to your most asked questions:

Do I have to be a member of PRSA and/or the PRSA-SF chapter to participate?

No! This awards program is open to any public relations and communications professionals from agencies, consultancies, in-house teams and nonprofits from across the Bay Area. PRSA-SF chapter members do receive a discounted entry fee, however.

How much does an entry cost?

Through September 15:

  • PRSA-SF Chapter members = $75

  • PRSA General members = $112.50

  • Non-members = $150

Late entries (September 16 - 30):

  • PRSA-SF Chapter members = $100

  • PRSA General members = $127.50

  • Non-members = $175

We also have one (1) free category available this year, as well. The Corporate Social Responsibility Honor Award recognizes the top corporate social responsibility communications plans, tactics, programs and/or campaigns for a specific widespread issue. This year (2020), we are recognizing efforts related to COVID-19 communications.

Can I enter more than one category?

Yes! Two minor exceptions, however, but you may not nominate the same agency for the small, midsize and big agency awards nor the same person for the rising star and professional of the year awards.

For the agency sizes, do we use our staff headcount for the San Francisco office or the entire agency (if we have multiple locations)?

The headcount refers to your entire staff based in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Do I have to include an attachment?

Yes. Each submission must include a 300-word overview AND supporting materials, which should be in PDF format. Supporting materials must include objective, strategy, execution and results.

When are submissions due?

Entries are accepted through September 15 at the regular entry rate, and late entries can be submitted through September 30.

How do I apply?

You can complete your entry by submitting all fields in this form.
