Dr. Zifei Fay Chen is a public relations educator and researcher who is enthusiastic about connecting the academy with the industry. She directs the undergraduate Public Relations Minor program at the University of San Francisco (USF) and is the founding faculty adviser for the PRSSA USF Chapter. She has taught public relations and strategic communication classes on a variety of topics including foundations, campaigns, research, social media, and crisis communication. Besides teaching and working with students, she also conducts research and provides public relations and communication consultancy for businesses and nonprofits. Fay has produced over 35 publications in refereed journal articles, book chapters and books, and sits on the editorial boards for Journal of Public Relations Research, Public Relations Review, Public Relations Journal, and Journal of Communication Management. Besides PRSA, she is also a member of Page Up at the Arthur W. Page Society, and a member of IPR ELEVATE at the Institute for Public Relations. When she's not working, Fay enjoys traveling, reading, practicing yoga, trying out new dishes and walking in nature.
